I have been wondering all day what to say about our adventure. I have read your posts - smiled, cried and laughed openly! As I reflect on this Ragnar adventure I keep going back to one word - HEART. Each of us gave a piece of our individual hearts to the land we travelled, to Ragnar history, to our team. What we got back cannot be measured. We all saw something in each other and albeit ourselves. I strongly believe we left last night respectful of Ragnar, stronger physically and amazed with ourselves collectively and individually. We brought something home beyond the medal. We each brought home fuller hearts. My heart is fuller today because I was asked to be on a team who have been loved, lost, struggled, cried, have or had fear(s)/anxiety, miss their loved one(s) so much that you wished upon one of the many beautiful stars along the route that these women or woman ;-) would receive a sign that everything will be ok! Like the course we have had our ups and downs sometimes its been more of one than the other but we showed everyone that we are funny, beautiful, intelligent, caring, sincere, loving, amazing, organized, trusting, determined, strong women! Ladies we are the definition of Ragnar Adirondack! I loved this entire experience for so many reasons more than can be said! Congrats to each of you! I officially retire from Ragnar....or until I am asked to be on a team again! (I will be posting some Van 1 pics tomorrow so be on the lookout!)
