I have decided to leave APANO...After much consideration, prayer and discussions with my family. Starting today, I will be joining several elder leaders in our community who have inspired me to pursue my true love of making people laugh. I have decided to make a career shift to become a full time stand up comedian, influenced by people like Dave Chappelle who grew up in my Unitarian Universalist faith and Hari Kondabolu who is another activist- turned Stand up professional. Im excited to continue my efforts to organize, minister and tear down the walls of oppression. I feel humor is the way to deconstruct the white guilt factory of Oregon. Look for me going door to door plying my trade, and practicing my jokes on the likes of the Governor and Sam Adams. I am already working to write some new material from my exploits and failures as a racial justice activist. Im not sure Ill make it, being introverted and more of a deadpan kinda guy. Oh yeah and April Fools.
