I have decided to sell my 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix GT four-door sedan. The car has 161,998 miles as of this posting. We have had the vehicle since February 2009 and bought it with 97,000 miles on it and since owning it have had the transmission rebuilt (at 98,000 miles), catalytic converter replaced (99,000 miles), front/rear brakes/rotors (116,000 miles), tires (138,900 miles), battery (8/2012), shocks/struts (8/2012), and ball front-end ball joints (2/2013). Currently the engine light is on with the code presenting for the catalytic converter (which has been replaced once) and the ABS light is on (which has been a wiring harness issue and patched in the past by our mechanic). The gas gauge hasnt worked in the past year but I reset it every time I fill up and refill every 200-215 miles to be on the safe side. I did have an issue with the windshield wipers when used at the highest setting but the linkage was loose and has since been tightened. The car does have some minor front-end damage and minor rear-end damage that was present when we bought the car. This damage is shown via attached pictures. There are some small dings and minor scratches on the body but no dents. The car has a V6 3.8 liter engine, a sliding sunroof, cruise control, and the air conditioning WORKS. The car is really fun to drive and handles well. I took it up to Chicago for a weekend trip over the 4th of July and it still has great acceleration on the highway (way better than some of the newer cars Ive driven). I was planning on keeping my car til the wheels fell off but our family dynamics changed and the vehicle is no longer functional for me and have since purchased an SUV. The car is not a perfect car by any means but has served us well in the 5+ years have had it. It would be perfect for a general work car, fixer-upper project, a teenage driver just starting out with his/her license, or just someone budget-conscious who isnt particularly picky about how his/her car looks. :-) Please share with anyone you know who may be looking for cheap transportation (this posting is public).
