I have found this particular period of depression I am experiencing debilitating. Late this afternoon I sat for an hour in front of the computer, neither reading nor working, just staring. Every time I thought of getting up and going downstairs, I felt unequal to the task. And this was after a day of taking all the right steps (meaningful work for and with others, socializing, therapist visit, eating well). (No one should worry about me -- the greatest loss I am likely to experience in this episode is time. I havent written any fiction in probably two or three weeks, and Im looking at a 11/29 deadline. I have a strong support system and I am in no danger of taking a dramatic action.)
