I have had every excuse in the world to give up and not be a mother. So, you have battled with addictions? Emotional problems? Money problems? Homelessness? Abusive relationships? Disfunctions from a messed up childhood? Hopelessness? Abandonment? At the end of the day it was my love for my children that made me refuse to give up. I have failed them still. But my kids made me want, and still do make me want to be a better person. Some people use every excuse under the sun NOT to be a parent. My children have always been my reason to keep trying, to keep checking my own selfishness, and have been my reason to keep learning to do better. PARENTHOOD is not for the weak or selfish person. My kids have taught me more than anyone. My promise to my kids...i will NEVER leave you. I WILL NEVER STOP TRYING TO LEARN TO BE A BETTER PERSON..BECAUSE OF YOU. You have already long ago far surpassed me. YOU are the best thing that has ever happened to me. You all make me so proud. YOU were born to break the mold..to break ALL the generational chains. You were born to be world changers. And i am so overwhelmed to see the wonderful parents some of you have become, and equally excited and confident that when the rest of you become parents, that you will do a fine job. And it means so much to me to know that i know my grandchildren will be taken care of with excellence.I LOVE YOU.
