I have more info regarding the fawn. Now Im not asking, I am demanding from the Commissioner of Public Works, Bowdoin and DEC an explanation. More community members have come forward and reached out to me. I have learned that the fawn had fallen and gotten stuck in a drainpipe at Bowdoin Saturday. She was found Saturday by some good samaritans who tried to save it from the drain pipe but park staff stymied their efforts to save the fawn. The good samaritans removed the fawn from the drain pipe anyway. Park staff then demanded that they leave and stymied their efforts to evacuate the fawn. Since when is a fawn falling in a drain pipe an act of nature????????????? Since when is rescuing a fawn from a drain pipe meddling with nature? There is an exception to the DEC dont touch rule. Clearly the DEC exception applied here in many ways warranting intervention. Pics are attached of the fawn on Saturday and of the wonderful people who rescued Bambi from the drain pipe with their permission. Bowdoin staff REFUSED to help this fawn and chose to let it suffer in front of families and children for 5 days until I evacuated it. Shame on Bowdoin and DEC. I am beyond disgusted. Thank you to the good samaritans who are coming forward to speak up!
