I have never fully appreciated the power of social media. I realize now social media can be used in positive ways such as this site to educate each other on news, crime and politics. It can also be a powerful tool. At this time I am hoping it can be both a powerful tool and a positive mechanism to assist me and my family. Many of you are not aware of my sons death. His death was mentioned briefly on this site with no name given. I remember reading your discussion of his death but not knowing how or what to interject. His name is Christian Andreacchio. He was 21 years old when he died. The circumstances surrounding his death were questionable then and continue to be. His case continues to be under investigation. In an effort to assist law enforcement in resolving the investigation I posted a message on Facebook asking all my Facebook friends in the Meridian area to share the message with their friends and their friends share with their friends (and so on) to maximize the visibility of Christians case and to let people know that after five months his case has not been resolved. I am hopeful that someone has heard something (whether fact, rumor or hearsay) which can help bring closure for Christian and my family. My family is currently offering a $10,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) involved in the death of our son. If the arrest leads to a conviction an additional $5000 will be allocated for a reward. Anyone that has knowledge of this crime please contact the Meridian Police Department and ask for the detective division or information can be given to Crimestoppers.
