I have never had a vacation make me open my eyes as much as New York City did. When I got off the plane I saw the beauty and chivalry of Midwest drop away immediately. It was filthy. The trash was so bad that water could barely drain down the sewers. No one cared about each other and most of the homeless people were deceivers who even turned down food. I also could not believe how badly white people are harassed there. How hypocritical is it to treat us like minorities when they dont want to be? All I can really leave this vacation at is that society is a lot worse than I have ever feared. This trip did nothing for my usual anxiety. I have never been so thankful for country music, my neighborhood, wrestling, and an eight minute drive to work in my life. Oh and public transit will never be a thing for me ever again.
