I have not long come in from a lovely evening meeting two very special boys. One aged 16, the other 6. Both on the spectrum, and both with their difficulties. Autism Wishes granted their individual wishes for Ipads and I was one of the three Trustees that went along to meet with them and hand over their Ipads and covers. Every single recipient and wish granted has touched me in different ways. My heart feels like its going to burst when I go along and see the faces, not just from the person who has the wish, but the family too. I know full well what every wish has meant to these people and it touches my heart. How could it not ! I am so proud of what we do, we being not just myself and the Trustees of Autism Wishes, but all the people who have supported us since we set up, by donating their time to help out at events, organising events and fundraising for us. We dont get grants, so every penny we do get is very gratefully received. As has been previously mentioned, none of us take a wage from Autism Wishes so you can rest assured that the money raised goes straight back to make a difference to the lives of those who have made a wish and local projects that support the betterment and wellbeing of those with Autism. Just wanted to say thank you and share those thoughts x
