I have recently injured my tailbone (dont ask lol the story isnt that athletically inspired) and its an injury that takes forever to heal and the silliest things aggravate it. Well, I am still training and between my trainer and I we play around with super and giant sets that I am able to do without a grinding pain; I find anything that weight is in front (deadlifts); anything pounding (box jumps) or anything pushing while I am down low (like sled pushes) kill me. No worries, we find plenty of things to work with and the workouts still kick my ass :)
