I have returned to Yachats, safe and sound. Arrived back last night at 8:30. I drove a total of 7,327 miles leaving June 22 and returning July 10. 18 days later. I went Interstate 80 west (Yachats, Oregon to Erie, Pa). to east. The trip was a total of 2,865 miles. The return trip from Erie to Yachats via Interstate 40 west and Interstate 5 north was 3,955 miles as I went to West Virginia and Chatsworth, Ca. I went through 19 states, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California. I went to meetings in Cheyenne, Wy., Davenport, Io., Erie, Pa., Conneaut Lake, Pa. Meadville, Pa. Beckley, W.Va. I saw the changing beauty of our country from mountains, Cascades, Rockies, Appalachians, to the oh so hot desert, Mojave. Crossed wonderful rivers, Columbia, Platte, Snake, Missouri, Mississippi, Ohio. Met old friends and made some new ones. Visited with family real and imagined. Paid a visit to our family cemetery plots, lingered in both heart and mind. Celebrated 23 years clean along with Laura at the Topanga meeting on the 8th day of July. Felt the love throughout my journey. I am so grateful for my life.
