I have severe depression. These are hard and very tough words to type. I dont share articles or my personal opinions about things on here but I cannot be silent about this. Ive struggled, mostly silently, for over 20 years about my depression. Most people in my life dont know how bad it has gotten over the years. Its not something glamorous to brag about, but is something I fight against daily. Of all the articles I read about suicide and depression this one seemed to get it. Although I may not agree with a 100% of what the writer says I can tell this writer has been in a very dark place. Im glad I have Jesus in my life and medication that helps me to have more stable days than not. I pray that in some small way this opens doors to talk more about loving and helping people with mental illness. May we not make it a silent and lonely disease anymore.
