I have shared a lot of sad news this year so I am pleased to be able to share some good news for a change. You may remember Kaz who last year kindly fostered Rocky. I am delighted to say that Kaz has now fostered Ace. Ace has been a resident at SFHFC since 2009. Although a very loveable character with us humans, Ace has continued to stay at the bottom of the pecking order at the hospice and never really cared too much for our other residents. At feeding times Ace always hung back until the others had eaten, although you would never guess by his weight as he is just over 6kg. We took Ace to Kazs last Saturday and the early signs are that he is settling in very well in his new forever home. This always brings up different emotions as there is a part of us that are sad as we will not be seeing him on a daily/weekly basis to give him tummy rubs, but we do know that he is in a very loving home, with his own settee to cuddle up on as well as a bed to share with Kaz, so I have the feeling that Ace will be enjoying many many tummy rubs on the sofa while watching the TV. These photos were taken when we took him round to Kazs and instantly we got the feeling that he felt it was home for him. We will keep everybody posted on his progress with Kaz and Im sure Kaz will be sharing some updates of her own with us.
