I have shared numerous times how blessed I was to have so many family members/friends present and helping at the ALL AMERICAN QUARTER HORSE CONGRESS SUPER SORT and Ive shared numerous pics from others teams so now Im gonna share a few results that pertain to my immediate family (minus the pics, lol)!! The highlight of the weekend may have been watching my dad (who will be 82 on his next birthday), get out there and not only ride competitively but have a blast and WIN/PLACE!!!! SO here goes, my dad, Wayne Jividen, made the finals (top 10) and ended up 7th over all, AND he had never competed in sorting before!!! Congrats to Woody Taylor who was riding with dad, you guys made quite a team!! My youngest son, Alex, made the finals (top 10) in the RSNC Youth (18 and under) out of 30 teams and then ended up in 6th place over all. As for ME... I made the finals (top ten) on 2 teams, in 4th place (out of 112 teams) was Mark Jividen (my brother) and I, then in 9th place (out of 112 teams) was Whitney Levering and I. So EXCITING!!!!! Im not one to measure success by the placing you end up with or the money you take home, but much more importantly, the lasting memories that you make with old and NEW FRIENDS!!!! What a FUN way to spend a weekend !!! Im blessed beyond words!!!
