I have spent half a day trying to get fingerprinted in order to renew my teaching certificate. Obviously, the powers that be in this state are really paranoid about a 65-year-old veteran teacher having contact with the younger generation. Not only does it cost a minimum of $120 to the KSDE, but its a major PITA to provide them with the necessary ink to find out youre trustworthy after teaching since 1971.
