I have submitted a Yellow Card concerning the side effects my wife is suffering from Simvostatin use for 18 months,she is now depressed,has little movement in her hands,restricted use of her arms,muscle and joint pain,skin irritation etc our GP dismissed Statins side effects without question instead prescribed Ibruprofen and referred her to a specialist who diagnosed MND he also partially admitted Simvostatin was partly responsible for her condition,she has now stopped statins and is taking Co Enzyme Q10 and has been for just 2 weeks and there are smalls signs of improvement but I suspect it will be a long process,is there anything else people here have tried ?
