I have the most wonderful Husband. He is so sweet and caring and thoughtful. Below you see the picture of my Christmas gift from him. We had Christmas together early today since next weekend we begin the long trek North to spend Christmas and New Years with his family and friends. There is a story behind why my Loving Husband bought me a flute and instruction booklets. Years ago when I was in grade school I wanted to learn to play the flute. At the time my Parents had it very rough financially. So when my instructor at school (I was about 10 years old) told me that I needed my own flute and could no longer borrow his at lessons, I just stopped attending lessons. I knew my Parents at that time could not afford to buy a flute for me, and I felt it was selfish of me to even ask for it. So I let that dream slip from me and moved forward with other endeavors. Fast forward 28 years. A few months ago Peter and I were talking about things we had wished we had been able to do growing up. I mentioned my love of the flute and wanting to learn to play it and never getting that chance. My amazing man took the time to research online a good beginners flute and instruction material and found me a flute and the books to go with it. I opened the box tonight and I cried. I held the flute in my hands - my own flute and I just stared at it a moment in disbelief as the tears welled up in my eyes. I finally have my flute. Im to old to be a grand flutist in a symphony, but I will enjoy teaching myself to play this knowing the love that went into it. I will do my best to honor this gift. I love you Peter M. Wright.
