I have the pleasure to do some VCE work along with Tony Shroud, Gael Hardsman , David Searly and Craig Adams doing door knocking for the last 2 days. This was for a Fire Management from the Qld Department Parks and Wildlife Service. They have reviewed the fire management on the Beecher State Forest and the Mount Maurice State Forest. This review has identified the following actions as being required. 1. Construction of new fire control lines adjacent to some bounderies. 2. Re-opening existing fire lines that will assist the safe conduct of planned burning and wildfire control. 3. Completion of planned burning to reduce the forest fuel hazards. This is more than likely to happen after the wet season (April - June 2015). If u have any questions please let me know so I am able to assist where I can.
