I have to give a big thank you to a wonderful church family who embraced me last night and showed me so much love! The Lakeshore Women of Faith in Byram are an awesome and anointed group and I thank you for inviting me! The bible study tonight...and by the way we have to get back to the Promises of God... but I was meditating today and God put something in my spirit, I heard so clearly, our father can and will protect us from any and every thing except our own choices. God has given us free will and we can choose to live holy and seek righteousness, or we can choose sin. Isnt that an amazing revelation! God can and will protect us from any and every thing except our own choices. That does not mean bad things always happens to us because of a choice we have made, we have an enemy who attacks, but the word tells us, No weapon formed against us shall prosper.. (Isaiah 54: 17) ..but when I look at my life when I have prayed and asked the Lord for His guidance and I have made Godly decisions I have gotten Godly results, but when I didnt and I made the choice based on what I wanted, what I thought, or in my own wisdom and knowledge it has gotten me Maggie results. It seems easy, just do what God has told us to do, seek his guidance, pray, fast, meditate on the word, but so many of us are so caught up in our own stuff that we leave God out and then when we dont get the results we want or like we tend to blame God or we want God to fix it. I go back to Job and all that he lost, all that he suffered, all that he endured, but he never blamed God, he said all that he had feared had come upon him. Job 3:25- New International Version What I feared has come upon me; what I dreaded has happened to me. I was taught our faith is what we say, believe, and do. In other words, we live what we learn, learn what we practice and practice what we become. What are you rehearsing, failure, pain, anger, frustration, doubt? I fight against the spirit of dread, (anticipate with great apprehension or fear.). Job practiced in his mind over and over again what could happen and it did. I have learned to pull down negative thoughts, fear, doubt, anything that is not of God and His will for me. Every day practice being what God has called you to be no matter what it looks like. Live the word, Learn, the word, practice the word, become what God has called you to be! 2 Corinthians 10:5 New Living Translation We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ. What are you thinking about? The bible tells us: Philippians 4:8 King James Bible Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. I pray that we all will see that it is time to get ourselves together and practice the things of God. The Lord is calling out to us and wants to bless us in so many ways! I cannot blame God for my poor choices or expect Him to fix it! I am just so thankful that He loves us so much we can learn from past failures, repent sincerely, pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and continue to be used by the Lord! The Lord can and does turn our mess, into a message! Glory to His Name! Be blessed everyone!
