I have to say, the students protest is just a trigger to emerge the numerous inherent contradictions of Taiwan society. Students do not trust the government in power, opposing party, economy professors, media, and company managers. I think there are very good reasons for that because of what has been happening in recent months. Asking 13 economy chairpersons is a survey that makes no sense, because the respondents are strongly biased. Other statistics are also doubtful. As the numbers shown in different media are different, it is natural to doubt that these results are manipulated. Absence of trust makes any solution difficult, and the trust needs accumulation of good governance. To make students come out from Legislative Yuan, the people who can stop the government in power, who can say no to economy professors who does not enough about the society and people, who can challenge media, protect identity and dignity of Taiwan, and insist on values other than economy must talk to the students: We will make sure it will not going to be as you worry, you have done very good already. Come out for now and lets move on to the next step. If the bad move cannot be stopped, lets make even bigger protest actions! There is nobody who can tell the students this kind of message at this moment, standing in the shoes of the protesting students and the supporting people. No matter which party he/she may belong to, I feel that if there is anybody who can do this, this person will be the best candidate for the next leader of Taiwan.
