I have to tell you, I LOVE the ceilings dark! I was worried it would make the room feel enclosed, but its done the opposite. I read once that painting a ceiling dark gives the illusion of a taller ceiling because the eye keeps going up and there is no lines or corners or different colors to break up the space and stop your eye - and I have to say they were right! I also think that by leaving that piece of trim white, also brings your eye up. Im now really excited about his room and cant wait to get things in there that he wants. Its also fun to let Kdin )whos 16 by the way) be involved in the whole process and let him have a say in his room, after all hes the one who has to stay in there! Notice that one wall thats not painted, thats gonna be the feature wall, next weekends project 😃
