I have to testify of how good my heavenly Father, God, is! A - TopicsExpress

I have to testify of how good my heavenly Father, God, is! A few months ago my family and I were in a serious financial pinch. My lovely wife Evelyn was between jobs, various emergency auto repair came up, along with different children needs. We got behind on different bills and payments and depleted any money we had in our savings. We do not use a credit card anymore but the temptation presented itself often. I refused. I was determined to trust God and His Word. I remained faithful and He proved Himself faithful. Standing on Philippians 4:19 was hard. Years back when we used a credit card it was easy to stand on because He would let us borrow money we didnt have by using that credit card. Now, we have no money to borrow from the plastic bank. However, we persisted in putting the pressure on His Word, after all, we tithe and give generously and since He says, Test me so I can prove I will pour you out a blessing. (Malachi 3:10), we did. We know what it means to sow and reap so we were calling in the harvest. God is not a liar and His Word is Truth. Evelyn and I had some hard times with this. Even with each other. Being behind on your house payment can add a small amount of stress to your life. And it should be known that because we chose to aggressively pursue being debt free including our house, some payments are slightly larger than others. On one particular occasion we were looking at the money and the bills and deciding who to pay what we could and seeing who wasnt getting anything, it came up: What are we going to do? My wife was exasperated. I was frustrated. She was diligently searching for work. I was putting in as much overtime as I could get. We were at our wits end. My response: I dont know what else to do. We are doing everything we possibly can be doing naturally. Now, we will stand on Gods Word and watch Himself prove that He is faithful. If He doesnt then He is a liar. At some point I made a comment that God was big enough to move things or people so that the money we needed just showed up. He could get it to us but we needed to trust Him. That was a tough night. I had made a declaration that said to my wife who is often looking to me for support and security, I dont know. The positive impact of the verbal confession though showed the power of our words. Knowing that was tough for my wife to hear but seeing her stand beside me facing the enemy as she knew we needed to trust the Lord in this matter. We were at the place where, having done all to stand, stand firm (Ephesians 6:13). We made our stand. We did and were doing everything we knew to do. Now God needed to come through. He did! After a lot of different interviews, job applications, internet searching and resume updating, my lovely bride found a job that she loves and is right up her alley. She works at Cran-Hill Ranch! Initially hiring in for part-time summer help, she now works there year round. AWESOME! Thank You Lord! A few weeks later and out of the blue we found out that a relative had come into a large financial blessing and wanted to share it with family. How cool is that? We were mailed a check for a very large chunk of cash. We had no idea this was happening; no clue. In fact, I remember looking at my wife after praising the Lord and saying to her, Do you remember what I said? See what He can do? He did it! I am very thankful for the generosity of people in general but of relatives especially that for simply out of the goodness of their heart and (I believe) being obedient to the Holy Spirits direction, be a blessing to others. Im not done yet. And then a few weeks after that I get a raise in my income! BOOM! Just for fun, the Lord says, Here, have this too. AWESOME! He is good! He is faithful! He loves to bless His kids. Let me close with this: “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Matthew 6:24-33
