I have wrestled with this for a while (like we all have): the power to be connected versus the power to be quiet and alone with ones self. I have noticed lately on the train how everyone who used to read books are now looking at little devices. Who is looking at the city going by? Their fellow riders? Who can just stand to be still, to be quiet, and to have a moment of nothingness that doesnt need to be filled by checking our phones? I struggle with this too. But agree that the next great evolution in technology might be our conscious decoupling (thanks, GP for that gem of a phrase) from it. What do you think?
