I havent been composing or working on this much lately because of a computer crash. Getting back into the saddle, I wanted to work on the Chords of ____ pages by adding audio of the chords and possibly notation in an appropriate EDO. I was working on Chords of Miracle: xenharmonic.wikispaces/Chords+of+miracle Its understandable and systematic, sorting the chords by Graham complexity (basically, how many generators it takes to get to the farthest-out note involved). Heres the problem, from where Im sitting: Theres no 1/1-5/4-3/2 chord in the list. That makes some sense -- 5/4 doesnt exist in miracle until you hit seven generators down, or 34 generators up, and the list assumes generators up from the root. But the 1/1-5/4-3/2 chord exists in smaller MOSs of the scale than 34, first making an appearance at a mode of only 14 generators. If you use miracle[21], there are eight 1/1-5/4-3/2 chords available to you. Having a list of Chords of Miracle where a fairly common and important chord isnt available strikes me as problematic. There *is* the first inversion of a major chord in the list -- 1/1-6/5-8/5. So should I show all three inversions of every triad? Or should the list be generated with every unique permutation of each the triads? Or am I missing something? Thanks in advance.
