I havent done this in a long while so I hope my knowledge isnt so - TopicsExpress

I havent done this in a long while so I hope my knowledge isnt so rusty. The following verses in the Gospels encourage believers to seek knowledge and seek the truth as commanded by God Almighty. John 7:14-18 About the middle of the feast Jesus (peace be upon him) went up into the temple and began teaching. The Jews therefore marvelled, saying, “How is it that this man has learning, when he has never studied?” So Jesus (peace be upon him) answered them, “My teaching is not mine, but His who sent me. If anyones will is to do Gods Will, he will know whether the teaching is from God or whether I am speaking on my own authority. The one who speaks on his own authority seeks his own glory; but the one who seeks the glory of Him who sent him is true, and in him there is no falsehood. John 14:1-7 “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me (as a prophet). In my Fathers (Rabbs) house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going.” Thomas said to him, “Lord (as in master or teacher), we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?” Jesus (peace be upon him) said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father (Rabb) except through me. If you had known me, you would have known my Father (Rabb) also. From now on you do know Him and have seen Him (as in understood God).” Notes: *Rabb means Lord, Sustainer, Cherisher, Master, and Nourisher/Sustainer. It is one of the common words used by the Prophets (peace be upon them) to address their Maker. This word is common and numerous in the Torah, and the Quran. It is the first word God introduces Himself to all Prophets (peace be upon them), before revealing His other names/attributes. This is what Jesus (peace be upon him) would call his Creator in accordance to the traditions of the Prophets (peace be upon them). I will not explain why the translation ended up as Father in English. I will leave that for each individual to investigate and know why yourself. Keep the findings to yourself until you are ready to teach it to others. They have overcame a lot of struggles and hardships in their mission and deserves every bit of our gratitude to honour them for bringing Gods teachings to us human beings.
