I havent posted in a bit, due in part because of a much more busy personal life, but I just gotta say... while I really like modern wrestling overall, I feel like some fans need a touch of the old school and dont realize just how things used to run and how awesome it was. Today I saw a fan complaining because Brock Lesnar snubbed then in an airport. Back in the old days, a silent snub was nothing, back then they would do anything but actually hurt you (unless you attacked first), that might include taking the little thing you wanted them to sign, and ripping it up in front of your eyes. Likewise, whenever a heel acts like a heel... and tries to avoid doing anything the fans would actually like, people get upset. For example... The Cesaro Swing, people are complaining because WWE has had Cesaro downplay the Cesaro swing because Cesaro would get cheers for it. People forget that Cesaro is a heel, and therefore doesnt want your cheers. Other than during the attitude era, heels did whatever they could to avoid cheers. Owen Hart for example, was actually an amazing high flying wrestler, but at Wrestlemania 10, he played his ground game instead, and why? Because Owen Hart would have got cheered if the fans saw his high flying moves in that match, and the fans are supposed to cheer Bret Hart. There are many fans, including a lot of people on this page that really do get wrestling and appreciate a heel being a heel, but there are a hell of a lot of them that dont get it. They may have been watching wrestling for ten or fifteen years, and still.. just dont get it. what do you think? ~David
