I havent written many posts throughout this whole amazing movement. But, as I have read some of the posts lately, people have been sharing their experiences and interactions with the amazing associates of Market Basket. One day last summer as I was shopping at my husbands store, young Mike (Artie Ts nephew) was in the store. I had the pleasure of conversing with him about how I was enjoying my summer (he knows I am a guidance counselor and have my summers off). He proceeded to ask how my children were doing and was genuinely interested. When I went to my car to load my groceries, guess who was parked beside me? Mike insisted he help me load my groceries into my car. I said no dont bother, I can handle it. He wouldnt take no for an answer. I thanked him and he said it was nice to see me again and to enjoy my day. How many people of his status would take the time to do this? This is the DeMoulas side of the family that has earned the respect of all associates, customers and vendors throughout the years! Lets all pray this ends tomorrow so that we can return to normalcy.
