I heard the best version of the Russian cow joke the other day, its a lesson in economics, and unfortunately I see a lot of people I know following this philosophy. A farmers cow died and hes very distraught about where hes going to get his milk, but he decides to go fishing to take his mind off of his problems. Down at the pond he catches a fish made of pure gold and thinks his prayers have been answered, but the fish says to him, I am a magic fish and if you let me go, I can grant you any wish so what would you like? The farmer is unsure so he takes some time to think about it, then says, I want my neighbours cow to die.
