I heard the delightful shouts of children celebrating a birthday party next door to us, and I was reminded of how pure and sincere they are in their joy and delight! I then started pondering in what delights the LORD and what brings joy to His heart.... He directed me to His word and I am amazed to see how much delight and joy God finds in us!! And WHAT brings Him joy and delight! Here are some of His words of His delight and joy He finds in us! Pro 8:31 Rejoicing in His inhabited world, And My delight was with the sons of men. Pro 11:1 Dishonest scales are an abomination to the LORD, But a just weight is His delight. Pro 11:20 Those who are of a perverse heart are an abomination to the LORD, But the blameless in their ways are His delight. Pro 12:22 Lying lips are an abomination to the LORD, But those who deal truthfully are His delight. Pro 15:8 The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD, But the prayer of the upright is His delight. Mic 7:18 Who is a God like You, Pardoning iniquity And passing over the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He does not retain His anger forever, Because He delights in mercy. Num 14:8 If the LORD delights in us, then He will bring us into this land and give it to us, a land which flows with milk and honey. 1Sa 15:22 So Samuel said: Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, As in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed than the fat of rams. 2Sa 22:20 He also brought me out into a broad place; He delivered me because He delighted in me. Deu 30:9 The LORD your God will make you abound in all the work of your hand, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your land for good. For the LORD will again rejoice over you for good as He rejoiced over your fathers, 1Ch 16:31 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; And let them say among the nations, The LORD reigns.
