I helped out with a couple of youth groups and saw this. Way too much lets play a game and not enough life is NOT a game. One church even had a specially-built cart with a half-dozen video game systems on it. After our old church lost its pastor, college pastor and youth pastor all within a two month period, the college intern took over. What did he do? He preached. Not in the youth room, but in the sanctuary, void of distractions. The youth group attendance GREW from about a dozen who always came to almost **50** who always came, over six months. And thats not including all of the part-time kids (junior high, senior high and college all in one room). They still had times where they played games and had fun, but the focus was on learning and biblical living.
