I hope this video works out better than the last upload! Im getting a little better with the whole video taping/editing thing - slowly! It shows Raines progressing with Shaping a Right Head Turn (Weve got the Head Turn pretty much down pat now, and have put it on cue, - mostly - still needs a bit of fine tuning though). This video also shows some examples of Calming Signals and Stress Relieving - basically, how NOT to do a training session, LOL! Its not perfect, but this page is about my journey, not about my being perfect ;) Remember, Im new at all this stuff, so dont take everything as a point of fact - Im sharing what Im learning along the way - far from being a professional - just yet. Towards the end(ish), I mention tongue flicks/lip licks as calming signals/stress relief, but I think they are more food related than calming signals at that particular part, but, cant seem to make changes to the video, and, I aint starting over from scratch!!!! Our next goal is to Shape a Paw Touch to a Target (no bigger than a CD) to a spot on a wall, and, to a spot on the floor - from 10 feet away - OMG!!! I have Raines so beautifully trained to Sit in front of me, while training the Head Turn, that getting him up and moving around for a training session and to Free Shape is the challenge now!!!
