I hopeI saved a little duckling today. Poor thing was born about 3 weeks ago, but something got it and tore off the skin on his little leg. He was just sitting in the middle of the grass by the lake peeping for his mother. When ducklings are injured the mother just abandoned him. This was breaking my heart so I took him to Care clinic on Bloomingdale as they are licensed to take in wildlife. He is so small and I cried all the way there. The staff were wonderful, took him right in. I gave them a $20 donation. I hope the little guy is alright. I saw the momma duck and gave her a what for! I know this is nature, but I could not let the littl guy lie in the grass and die. Say a little prayer for him please.
