I just finished the Lamb of God documentary As the Palaces Burn - TopicsExpress

I just finished the Lamb of God documentary As the Palaces Burn and I couldnt be more honest when I proclaim that I love this band even more. What started as a documentary of their tour after the release of their most recent album, Resolution, turned into a nightmare when lead singer Randy Blythe is arrested in Prague, Czech Republic. He was accused of manslaughter due to a fan who reportedly died as a result of head trauma that occurred at a Lamb of God show in 2010. What followed was a deeply reflective and personal look into the uncertainty that was Randy and his band. What made me love this band more was their reflection not just on how this would make an impact on their lives and careers, but how they never forgot about the fan who passed away. This death deeply touched each member, Randy most of all, as the blur of tours make it hard to remember individual people they may have encountered. Randy said, and I am paraphrasing, that what he went through, in the arrest, the prison time where he awaited trial, and the trial itself, all of that was terrible and would not wish it on anyone. But what he never forgot was that a family lost a child at one of his shows; shows where fans come to celebrate music, to celebrate life. The fact that Randy remained humble and respectful is what makes him someone to look up to. I was glad to have seen Lamb of God in San Francisco in 2013 and get wild with a band I look up to so greatly.
