I just finished watching White Christmas on AMC. I cannot let a Christmas go by without enjoying that film. I danced and sang along as I have since I was a child. This movie represents my childhood Christmases. Over the years I wondered why I would be so moved while watching this film particularly of course when the general walks into the reception. It dawned on me today. I saw my dad who served in World War II as that general when I was a kid. And how I knew he never got the recognition for all he did. Now I know why I cry. I dont think this knowledge will stop me from crying next year or the year after. So proud of your service pop. I miss you.
