I just found out that three of our nations veterans have passed on. Two most will recognize. William Guarnere, better known as Wild Bill and Babe Heffron; both soldiers of Easy Company, 506 Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division. They were immortalized in Stephen Ambroses Band of Brothers and a mini-series of the same name, produced by Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg. The last one is not as well known, but just as important. Kurt Chew-Een Lee was a Marine Corps Officer that fought at the Battle of Chosin Reservoir in Korea. His conduct earned him the Navy Cross and Silver Star. He later became the subject of Uncommon Courage: Breakout at Chosin, a Smithsonian Channel Documentary.
