I just got on the computer to find out we have lost one of our frat brothers Greg Womack. I am very upset and angry god has taken this man. He was one of us. He was so passionate about his music and about his work. He always shared with all of us...without hesitation...all the time. He was so talented and creative. He was one of the first, of all us frat brothers, that I connected with whose work I admired and respected. He not only did his reedits but gave us the colorful album pictures and designs that accompanied his creations. His generosity is a testimony to what our fraternity has become here on facebook these last several years. To say he was a member of the Disco Police seems inadequate. He was the Commissioner. Most of us here, including me, had never shaken his hand, or hugged our fraternity brother...but he touched all of the 1262 members here today over the years with his contributions of kindness. He lived for our group and I know we all kept his spirits up during his fight with his illness. Whenever I had music too share, Greg Womack was always the first on my list. He loved our video some of us did at 718, some months ago...and I know because of that and our prayers, from all of us here, that we constantly posted, brought him more time with us. Life sucks...especially when you lose someone, who has made a difference in your life. There is not one member here who wouldnt say they LIKED Greg. I loved Greg Womack...and now, today I am really depressed. So, the next time, youre doing a gig and youre playing a Womack edit...know you got it with love...and it was like him, handing you a 12. His spirit will live on in our family from the way he has touched us all. Love you Greg...you were the man....God Bless You & Rest In Peace
