I just had a young man tell me that the Quran contains... things that surpass my knowledge and understanding and that I would be incapable of knowing it. Well..... OK. I felt it would be prudent to address this with honesty and from MY unique perspective. I was an militant atheist for the first half of my life and I always felt the NEED to search for TRUTHs from many different resources to figure out what was most believable. If there could be a God I would HAVE TO SEE ENOUGH EVIDENCE TO PROVE IT and then see enough PROOF in that WORD to KNOW what GODs desire might be for my life. Thinking Id try all possibilities SO I could authoritatively debunk a sky daddy authority ...... I searched through many things and even tried praying many times to find God ......then I studied to prove or rather disprove God. I read about and quickly disregarded Buddhisms mysticism and polytheistic faiths (too little time to debunk all 1,000,000 gods) and decided to start wisely with the older monotheistic faiths of Judaism Christianity and Islam. I studied about the origins if Islam, Muhammeds history and biography, compared and cross referenced verses in the Quran, compared the Quran from its random and sometimes intelligent and reverent verses Muhammed alone presented without order or assembly to his men and read through many funny hadiths. I found a moral guide based on eastern living and culture along with unbridled calls to violence unrestrained by historical reference or purpose. I learned it is a works based theology founded on Judaisms history in the Torah and quotes Judaisms folklore (for unexplained reasons). So I turned to investigate Judaism & Christianity. (Shouldve done it re other way around & saved time) I studied the books and authors of the bible (with 783,137 words, this took CONSIDERABLE TIME) I found them HIGHLY INTELLIGENT (SURPRISE!) and humbling educationally while providing .... History and future of ALL time from the beginning of man to the end times prophecy in Revelation. Confirmation of a higher than human inspiration by over 3100 prophecies predicted and hundreds or thousands of years later being accurately fulfilled, Archeological support in todays world with corroboration of places, documents, people and cultures proving the accuracy of Biblical texts. GOD lovingly forgiving men REPEATEDLY even as men failed Him repeatedly God authoring and completing five covenants with man all designed to provide paths to salvation for mankind and all punishing those who refuse HIS WORDS. Prophets dying for their beliefs telling the same message through the different books (even though the different writers NEVER MET and lived far apart). Eyewitnesses who LIVED AND WALKED WITH A man they died for saying HE IS the Son of God and saying He saved, healed, taught the teachers, resurrected dead people, died sinless and rose from the dead to teach again before he ascended into heaven promising to return A man who is also GOD changing the World turning BILLIONS of people completely around through LOVE resulting in help for others, compassion for others, charity for others WORLD WIDE REGARDLESS OF CULTURE OR BELIEFS.
