I just have to share this story with you all-- That wall post I mentioned last night, it was from a friend who was asking for advice about the Marvel cinematic universe for her son who is a huge fan of those superheroes. She wanted to know exactly which movies were part of the MCU and what order it was appropriate to watch them in, because she wanted to get them for him for Christmas. After my long and exhausting response detailing the viewing order in order of release versus chronologically in the MCU timeline, she gave her thanks and said that shed be hitting up eBay and Amazon to pick up as many of the movies as she could on a single mothers budget. Seeing this, one of my friends jumped in and said that they would be willing to send her a DVD if she was willing to share her address. Then another friend hopped in and did the same. Inspired by the generosity of my friends, I volunteered to send both Captain America movies (it only seemed fitting). So now shes well on her way to collecting the Marvel universe for her son, and its all thanks to the warm hearts and generous souls of the nerd community. Stand tall and proud, my fellow nerds, for you are in the finest company. EXCELSIOR! #onyourleft
