I just heard Chief Jim Bennett passed away after a hard fought battle with cancer. A chief who made a fire department what it should be. His Shut up and do what youre told manner, put fear in the hearts of many, including me. But his ships sailed straight and his ducks were almost always on a row. All of the lessons werent easy, but they made plenty of good men, better firefighters. The chiefs of today could take a lesson. Youre missed in the streets Chief, and now youll be missed in life.
