I just heard on Fox News that there is a fund set up to pay off the Mortgages of the two Murdered NYPD officers. This is how community works, WITHOUT a government bailout, or special insurance program, or pension plan....before the Great society community came together to do what is right. We need to get back there, the interesting thing is, with the modern day Community, is it is ALL of us combined. With social media, if we joined forces to aid in anything, we can do better then any government run social program. I think the power of that force is just beginning to show its effectiveness. Imagine (on the 10th anniversary) how much we could have help those who had their lives destroyed when a tsunami hit Thailand. Think about it...a NGO whos focus is to use the social media to help victims, of ANYTHING. My thought for the day.
