I just learned how to start one stove with coals from the other. I have a metal shovel and metal box. I scooped out two shovel fulls from my wood stoves with is now running 24 /7, put the coals in the fire box of my wood cook stove with 3 pieces of wood on top of that and 30 seconds later we have ignition!This is very good news because starting fires from scratch can be a huge pain in the butt. The main thing when moving hot coals in your house of course is making sure you dont drop one, but if you have a safe way to transport hot coals safely its a great way to start a fire in another wood stove immediately. Probably a lot of the Oldtimers on here already knew that, but I just thought of it so Im pretty impressed with myself. :)
