I just love the Fair. Until I had began to date my Richard I had never ever really been to many Fairs. I have been going to the local Fair here with my Richard since 1982 with the exception of one or two times when it was impossible due to health. Why do I love it so ? It is not the rides because we dont them anymore. It is not the food because I can get the same food at many other places. It is not the booths because We have so many other venues where the same vendors are available many times a year. So what is it? It is the tradition. It is something we always anticipated marking our schedule collecting funds some years to just being able to pay the entry fee to attend with each other. The tradition of repeating each year the love I felt the very first year when we walked hand in hand strolling along between the booths, food ventors, games, music, and climate that the Fair brings. As we left the Fair last night knowing the Midway would be broken down to be packed away for departure to tier next event I was already gleefully anticipating the Fair for next year.
