I just need to say something about long arm machine quilting service. I see comments if they charge reasonable prices or she is so expensive, etc etc…..please remember that your long arm machine quilter provides a top quality service for a very reasonable cost. I for one have taken courses, have a considerable inventory of tools to use on your Quilts, stock humongous amounts of thread, just about every colour under the rainbow, have a very expensive, reliable machine. Just because I work from home, doesnt mean I should do it dirt cheap. i have overhead, like electricity, heat, maintenance of equipment, I have to stock an array of pantographs….you want dragonflies all over your quilt, the next one wants snow flakes, etc. PLEASE….just as you get paid for doing your job at the school, office or wherever, I and every good longarmer out there deserves to make a fair wage. Quilting is an expensive hobby, we all know that, so please…..dont tell me to to quilt your queen quilt for $50.00 and provide the batting on top of that. Thank you……I am off the soap box now, let the criticism fly…...
