I just returned from a glorious Veterans Day program at the American Preparatory Academy where Corinne Hanson Wilding teaches. (For those who dont know, she is Quinns new wife.) It was incredibly uplifting and made my pride soar for those in my family who served in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. I was raised on Air Force and Army Bases where I heard the National Anthem played everyday, surrounded by American flags, jets overhead, saluting young soldiers in uniform with each day ending in taps amplified throughout the Base. I love my country, my flag, and especially every patriotic song there is. The children at APA were unimaginably prepared and sang those songs at the very top of their lungs. Tears were everywhere as each Veteran was called by name and given an individual thank you note handwritten by a student and a wonderful gold commemorative pin. I was honored to stand to represent Paul as a Navy soldier who served in the Vietnam War. I only wish that all elementary schools would have the standards which were shown by this school. Congratulations Corinne for helping and guiding these children, and for the great program today.
