I just saw Blackfish. My reaction is hard to describe. Walking from the theater with Kelly, I had no words. None. Those who know me well understand how rare it is to find me speechless. Finally, ten minutes later, all I could muster is "I am profoundly sad". But, it is so much more than that. In my gut, there is this visceral kernel of anger, which I suspect will grow in the days to come. And, I am ashamed of every penny I have spent supporting Seaworld. So far, Kelly and I have come to this plan of action ... Our children will never attend Seaworld, "swim with dolphins", a circus, or any other event that requires animals to perform for public entertainment. Instead, we will make every effort to take our kids to see these animals in the wild and teach them why captivity, for the sake of performance, is cruel. If you consider yourself an advocate for animals or our oceans, you must make every effort to see this film. trailers.apple/trailers/magnolia/blackfish/
