I just want a good nights sleep! Ugh I go to bed usually pretty early (8:30/9:00) because I am so tired and wore out, especially on nights when I have to get up early for work the next day (usually around 4:45am). Whats hard though is I am constantly walking up throughout the night. Sometimes its just tossing and turning and other times I will be awake for an hour or more. I take Cymbalta and a small dose of Baclofen at night, and occasionally I will take tylenol pm OR melatonin but honestly I find that I still wake up and dont feel rested if I do. I wish I could just feel normal again and not have to adjust this as my new normal. Funny they say how important sleep is yet GOOD sleepy is hard to come by. I am going to be switching my job positions from working as an L&D nurse to a lactation counselor and when I start that I can kind of pick my hours and not have to be up so early not to mention shorter hours a day instead of 12+ hour shifts- I really hope that will help. It was amazing that my manager is doing this for me. We need it at our hospital and Ive always enjoyed helping people breastfeed so its a win-win.
