I just wanted to thank everyone for keeping us in their thoughts and prayers recently. Gunner Luke finally made his arrival Friday morning at 8:46. He was 3 weeks early and still weighed in at 8.8lbs and 21.5 inches long. He was a HOSS! Kasey really hated to have the C-section, but she was a trooper. We had it scheduled, so it wasn’t a surprise at least. As most of you know, he does have a partial cleft lip, but it could have been worse. It stops right above his lip and doesn’t go into his nose. His pallet was also intact, which is a blessing. We met with a plastic surgeon when we found out at 20 weeks. He will go for his first visit in a few weeks, and I believe they will do the surgery at 10 weeks or 10lbs (whichever comes first). Obviously, it seems as if the 10lbs will ha! We made it home this afternoon, and he and Kasey both are doing great. She is still sore, but that is to be expected. Thanks to all of you who have been praying for a safe delivery and a healthy little man. Now it’s time to spoil him haha.
