I keep having to remind myself that everyone is entitled to there - TopicsExpress

I keep having to remind myself that everyone is entitled to there own opinion and I just have to accept that a lot of people I know and maybe even love, will vote No in September. Im really struggling to come to terms with this state of affairs. When I look around at the society I live in, I wonder - what the f#%k happened? I grew up with Thatcher as a sweary word in my house. The fallout from the systematic destruction of industry in this area has created obscene poverty, not only in monetary terms, social deprivation is hauntingly apparent. All the goods things that Clement Atlees Labour Party built is being eroded and sold through back door deals. The NHS is under threat, Scotland has 1 in 4 kids living in poverty and is one of the most unequal societies in the western World. Oxfam have told us another 100,000 children will be forced into poverty when the next set of cuts come in. Surprisingly, Labour have pledged to be even tougher on the cuts if they are elected next year. They have completely turned their backs on the working class, clamouring for that elusive Middle England vote. It just beggars belief that people are still opting for this. They are supposed to be intelligent human beings. Why would you still wish to remain in a country that tells u what to think while dipping your pockets. Get a grip people. Open your eyes, open your mind. I dont support the SNP, but theyve done a damn sight more for this country than Labour have. Sack the Tories once and for all. When we become Independent, I really hope that the real Labour politicians will emerge and get to work helping to build the socially just Scotland that we all deserve. There IS an alternative to austerity and I truly believe, after witnessing the groundswell of the positive multi faceted yes campaign, that we have the ability to make this a beautiful reality! Vote Yes Peace
