I know I have written about segn el nessa before and how it is the best show out there this ramadan if not one of the best Ive seen during any ramadan. To me this show is so important to watch because its not simply about women in prison, but its about how women in this country are in an endless prison . Often put in uncontrollable situations because of the circumstances forced upon them. From the jobs that the countless women in Egypt work in that put their lives in danger to feed their family, to the harassment they get on their way home, to the way their husbands treat them when they get home, to the mental anguish that afflicts them in their sleep. Their constant mistreatment, their struggles, the prison they are put in from the day they are born to the day they die. People tell me but its so depressing, unfortunately reality for most women here is depressing.
