I know. Ive been incommunicado. Part of it was that I was visiting my cousin in West Virginia. Were six months apart in age, and have been close our entire lives. It was a great week. Well, except for one thing. I got sick. Since coming home, Ive spent a majority of the time in the emergency room, the urgent care, a doctors office, or sleeping. CAT Scans, X-rays, Ultrasound, and more to come. I got pretty upset about getting sick. Wed waited a long time for that trip. Cousin Kay and her husband Steve took off work to spend time with us. Theyd made plans! We had places to go, sights to see, things to do! Getting sick wasnt part of the itinerary. But, thats life, huh? We can put all the appointments we want on the calendar. We can plan parties, map out meetings, and arrange affairs. But, when it comes down to it, whether everything comes off without a hitch isnt up to us. Every situation, no matter how carefully planned, has variables that arent in our control. Things that no matter how hard we try, we cant prevent from happening. But... just because things dont always go as planned, doesnt mean that things dont still work out. Did we have a blast in West Virginia? Absolutely! Would I have had more fun if Id felt better? Ya think? But, I have wonderful memories on which to reflect, pictures to laugh at, and stories to embarrass my family with. In the great scheme of things, it doesnt get much better than that! Hope youve had a good day. I could definitely use your prayers. This stuff isnt going away anytime soon. We first have to determine exactly what this stuff is. YWPFT ❤️
